K.C.

For over 25 years, K.C. (aka K Civ) has transformed lives through music, evolving from a passionate dance enthusiast to an acclaimed DJ. After an injury redirected his path, he channeled his love for music into DJing, with House Music and its sub-genres at the forefront, expanding to Jazz, R&B, Soul, Disco, D&B, Techno, Reggae, and Global Soul.
Moving to Boston in 1998, K Civ honed his ear for exceptional musical talents working at prestigious record stores in the area, while performing worldwide. He earned fame as resident DJ at “Soul Revival”, recognized by Rolling Stone and Urb Magazine as one of America’s hottest dance parties.
During this dynamic time, K Civ co-founded Immers Music, a boutique deep house record label. His productions and edits have been praised and played across the globe by top DJ’s in the house music scene.
Known as "a DJ's DJ", K Civ is one of Boston's finest—a true tastemaker whose globally-influenced sound feeds every musical palate. His love for vinyl (evident in his 10,000+ record library) and the resurgence of the vinyl record industry serve as catalysts for founding his second record label. Educating curious ears on the power of music and having a positive impact on music artists, dancers, and listeners alike remain at the core of his work.
